CLASS INFORMATION ...

I offer private instruction in order for you and your dog to have my full 100% attention. I am completely attentive to the needs of you and your dog during our training sessions. Not only do I provide you with one-on-one coaching, I come to you! I offer in-home training because it allows me to see each dog in it's primary environment - your home.

My courses are not just for your dog. You, as the owner, are actually the primary student! My goal is to inspire and teach you how to understand and effectively train your dog. To help you build that special relationship with your canine based upon mutual respect, and trust.

The courses are designed to educate you on the fundamentals of dog behavior so that you can communicate clearly with your canine friend. As much as we would like to believe that our dogs think like we do, they simply have very different cognitive abilities and communication skills. Bridging the communication gap between you and your companion is the key to forming a long lasting relationship. Through a psychological approach you can establish proper roles, acceptable and un-acceptable behavior, all without the need to use any sort of physical force to train your dog.

I am a non-compulsive trainer using the most modern, gentle, and effective training techniques. The use of positive reinforcement and negative punishment (a good thing goes away) are the primary teaching tools. Your dog receives a combination of food, praise, or play, as rewards for performing behaviors on cue. These same rewards are removed for non-compliance. When using positive reinforcement training the trainer's focus is on rewarding (reinforcing or increasing) wanted behaviors as opposed to physically punishing for unwanted behavior.
